Mobilizing RFID with Psion Teklogix Handheld Products
RFID tags make it easy to track products and assets as they move from location to location. The Psion Teklogix range of handheld products in combination with Dialoc ID RFID readers covers all the major standards and frequencies – giving you the power to choose the right technology for your specific application.
And that’s just the thing – different applications require different RFID frequencies and protocols. Animal tracking needs a low frequency reader. Asset tracking wants a high frequency reader. Warehousing demands an ultra-high frequency reader. Maximum range applications require active RFID. We’ve got you covered on every front. And, because our RFID products integrate with other data capture technologies such as imaging or bar code scanning, your investment is protected and your Return on Mobility is enhanced. Innovative solutions for mobile workers re-defining and enhancing the workflow, service and delivery performance.

Mobile RFID turns ticketing into a profit center
Mobile ticketing is the process whereby customers can order, pay for, obtain and validate tickets from any location and at any time using mobile phones or other mobile handsets. Mobile tickets reduce the production and distribution costs connected with traditional paper-based ticketing channels and increase customer convenience by providing new and simple ways to purchase tickets. Mobile ticketing is a prime example of horizontal telecommunication convergence. RFID-enabled tickets at football games, ski resorts, and music concerts are changing the way consumers experience entertainment venues. Using security features unavailable in other ticket-dispensing and -collecting technologies, RFID technology shortens lines, eliminates counterfeiting and creates tickets that can be programmed for specific time periods and specific gates or other access points.
Utilizing Dialoc ID’s RFID technology, tickets can be created on demand with RFID-enabled printers, RFID card transponders can be issued to individual consumers and enabled for specific time periods, and tickets can be read remotely to increase throughput at entrances and gates.
European ski resorts looking for a cost-efficient way to identify skiers, shorten lift lines and increase revenue discovered that RFID provided the ideal solution. They employed an integrated electronic ski pass based on RFID technology which allows skiers keep their lift ticket in their pocket since it can be read through the fabric instantaneously and at a distance. Remote-operated gates detect a valid ski pass and open automatically. European ski resorts have experienced shorter lift lines, fewer lost passes and more available ski runs which pleased ski resort guests who are likely to become repeat customers.
